Inglot is a cosmetics line based in Poland that gets very little recognition in the States. Reason being, there isn't a lot of access to it and there are only a handful of storefronts across the country. Of course, all of this makes a girl want it even more.
I was over the moon when the lovely Rocaille Writes gifted me with an Inglot eyeshadow trio, after having returned from home after a visit. The shades were very pigmented and buttery, and I could imagine the line had quite a bit to choose from, given the slight differences in the silver shadows. I like to think of it as my initial warm-up.
So about a month ago while in Miami and shopping at Aventura Mall, you can imagine my reaction to the Inglot stand alone store. I ran in, the hubby defeatedly plopped down on the couch (knowing it would take a while), and I began perusing through the hundreds of shadows, varnishes, concealers, and lip lacquers. A visit to the shop indicates that your choices are vast, yet there are several different systems for organizing your selections. You can also buy items solo.
With so many vibrant colors there was a definite overwhelming factor, and I took the safe route. The intention was to choose shades that could be thrown into my bag for travel--a bit neutral, yet something that would complete a full face if need be.
This included an under-eye concealer:
A lip paint:
and three shadows which would work for a simple, understated eye:
At the last minute, el hub piped in and stated that I needed a brush to add to the palette (baby steps), so we added that as well. It completed the palette, but I've yet to use it.
A few more glosses caught my eye--the AMC Lip Paint in 66, as well as the Sleeks Cream in 96 and 89. All three have quite a bit of pigmentation, wear very well, and are not overly sticky (the creams being the least sticky). They each carry a sweet vanilla-y fruit like scent, while the packaging on the creams are my favorite. They're slim and test-tube like, fitting easily into a clutch or small cosmetics bag.

If you're curious as to where you can find an Inglot store, check the listings here. Otherwise, you can now order items via their website. I've noticed that not everything is listed, but you have a wide selection nonetheless.
