Lovely reader Onyx, had suggested that I try the Tea Tree Water from Lush, and I followed her directions to a T! Right into the refrigerator it went, and it became an instant chilled hit--even with the guys! Actually, as I type I continue to take short breaks to spritz. The blend of tea tree and grapefruit, really works well in sorting out my easily congested skin. The scent reminds me of my old Body Shop Tea Tree products that I now recall loving. For the hours that I actually stepped out of the house, I made sure to apply a nice layer of Shiseido's Ultimate Sun Protection in SPF 55. The parts of our body that show the earliest signs of sun aging, are the backs of our hands and our necks. Once those go, there's little that can be done to reverse the shrinky dinky skin. With this in mind, you'll never want to forget your sunscreen and moisturizer!

How quirky are the stickers on Lush packaging? It's all
about the packaging for me!
What is your idea of good packaging?
And once again, it's tag time! I'm so honored to have received the Freakin' Fabulous Blog award from Tina over at All The Vanity. Each day, I look forward to each new comment from each of you--I love the banter that we can have about beauty (amongst other topics), so to receive this sort of recognition is just that: fabulous! The rules with this award are
*Cleaning: I had to do everything I could to stop myself from posting pictures of my new cleaning supplies--a broom with this chic & sassy handle, a yummy scented dish soap, a blind duster...*sigh*
*Fragrance: My interest in fragrance is back, and in full force. It used to be something that revolved around clean and simple scents, but is now moving towards stronger mom-like (I mean that in the best way possible) complex notes.
*Reality TV: Impressive, I know. The Real Housewives of Atlanta has broken into their second season, and I'm already hooked. I can't watch a lot of serious television...in my book, that's not what the tv is for.
*Furniture Hunting: Hunting--not shopping--because that's what it's beginning to feel like. There are a few pieces that I am wracking my brain trying to find. I think I've made them up...
*Organic Foods: This is a mainstay, but each time I return from the grocery store I feel a surge of interest with this one again...I tell ya, if you've never put yourself on an organic diet, do so and see how your body reacts. Love it.
And now, the award is passed onto these amazing ladies:
Javy at Scarlet Empress
Tiff at Big Hair Bigger Lashes
Resham at Dazzle-n-Sparkle
Rocaille at Rocaille
Sara at The Makeup Snob
I'm off for now, as I have a raging headache that just won't go away--any recommendations for a cure?
xo

Thanks for the tag :D! That Tea Tree Water sounds nice.
I'm a sucker for cute packaging...the main thing for me is convenience though. If it's a pain to open/close I'll rarely use it. I hate when stuff is unnecessarily clunky too.
@tiff: i agree on that last part--i like things that are efficient..sort of like the shu uemura packaging. i'll be looking forward to your obsession answers ;)
I really want to try something from lush but as u can guess everything looks so great packaging and stuff.. I don't know what should I try first :)did u tried anything else except tea tree water?
ps. :) u tottally deserve that sweet award ;) xxx
I use that tea tre water and love it! Only thing is... i hate how big the drops are when you spar it.. i wish it was a finer mist like evian sprays or fix +!
Good to see someone else with factor 50+ its a huge misconception that darker skin is 'used' to the sun!
I burn like hell! Love the packaging.. im a sucker for turqouise!
Pics of CLEANING supply...lol!!
That was hilarious.../:)
btw, thanks soo much for the TAG...it REALLY means a lot...:)
oo now i think i need to try that tea tree water :)
Great to hear that it's better over there, finally, the cycle broke here as well, it rained!!!! Imagine how happy I am!
Btw, the headaches were definitely from the temperatures, not the lack of water, I had the same thing lately, thankfully not anymore! ;)
I 'm obsessed about cleaning too, I washed the...walls yesterday...Lol!
xoxoxo
Have to try that Tea Tree Water next time I'm abroad...
Thanks for the tag, cherie! Hmm, I think it might be the time to reveal my name at the blog, the nickname makes people a tad confused :)Also, I don't know your real name, hun!
xxx
@dila: well if you would like recommendations, i would say the soaps are nice (especially the jiggly ones that you can throw in the freezer!)
@tali: i just tested it again (haha..any excuse) to see what you mean--definitely a heavier mist than those other products. i cover my eyes with one hand to avoid smearing my eye makeup, if i do spray it over my makeup :)
i love the packaging too--but then it's not a ton of product. however, i've decided to overlook that since shisheido always does good things for me ;) xx
@resham: yes, i actually took the pics--just didn't post them. haha!
@bubblegarm: i think you would really like it! you know, if i were to guess ;)
@tina_mbc: washing the walls is SUCH a chore! i find that the mr. clean magic erasers work really good on marks...do you have those there?
@rocaille: ooooh do it! i don't know why i haven't yet--but that's coming from someone who wasn't even going to post pictures of herself in the first place...lol
Glad that SPF worked for you! It broke me out badly so I usually stick to the MAC prep and prime for my face SPF.
I need to try that tea tree water...
@kajal couture: I know what you mean--it's a bit thicker than the one you have featured on your blog (which I actually prefer!), but I just made sure to avoid areas that get congested easily, & used the neutrogena one in those areas. The mac products are the ones that don't mix well w/my skin! Funny how fickle my skin can be..
Hmm, I should have thought og getting that actually...cos I just got fed up up seing them dusty and took an old towel and a sponge, some soap and a lot of arm work...! :PPPP
xx
@tina_mbc: i've gone that route, and they drip and cause me so much trouble! but...i don't know that this new contraption is much better, because it's small and takes a long time if you have lots of blinds. see, i should have posted a picture! haha
Love your answers.
I understand what you mean about the fragrances. I recently brought Lancome Magnifique which is a very spicy, grown-up fragrance, it's nice to try something a little diff from the usual fresh, floral, light and summery stuff once in a while.
facial spritz stuff like the LUSH tea tree are an absolute necessity. I'm using Clarins screen mist and it's almost gone, phew, it was such a waste of money, it cost me £25 and doesn't do anything spectacular, Avene thermal spray is my HG, cheap and really feels plumping and moisturising. I need it back in my life.
