And...the music is done! It was fun while it lasted, but I want to thank those of you who responded to the quiz about whether blog music is annoying. For me, it is and it isn't, but I suppose a lot of that has to do with whether you like the song choices in the first place. "I'm way too cooooool for you boyyyy..." I'll miss it. Ah well, I can listen to it on iTunes ;)
First and foremost I want to congratulate Enchante, who is the winner of the giveaway. Great job on your answer...makes me want some blueberry pancakes right now! I'll be sure to get those shadow liners to you right away. Enjoy!
Thirdly, I have found something so perfect that I can hardly type fast enough to reveal it. It's a new mascara. There are many favorite things that make up my list of must-haves, and I'm always open to replacing older ones with new discoveries--if they make the cut! Unfortunately, in the process of finding new discoveries that are worthwhile, I end up with a lot of duds...which probably can be given away to anyone interested...but that's neither here nor there. So, let's get down to business. One big problem I have with mascara is that it either doesn't lengthen enough, or provide my lashes with the fullness that I crave. Once that situation is taken care of, I have to face the obstacle of my constant squinting. I'm sorta kinda blind (and desperately need lasik eye surgery...any sponsors?!), so the result of not wearing glasses or contacts is...um, blindness. I squint, therefore I smudge. How have I been avoiding this? By never ever using regular mascara on my lower lashes, and instead using Blinc's Kiss Me. The idea is that the mascara coats each lash with a tube-like paint that only is removed under water with fingers. It's pretty fantastic. However, because of the lengthening issue, Kiss Me doesn't really do it for me on the upper lashes.
There always has to be better, right? And if there is, I'm determined to find it. I have. It's called Imju Fiberwig Mascara, and it is the best-selling mascara in Japan--for good reason. I shouldn't even go further...get to Sephora.
Okay, so back to this.
Like Kiss Me, the removal process is identical, which assists me in avoiding all smudging. However, because of the fiber bits that are part of the formula, it lengthens to no end. NO END! As in, I accidentally ripped out a quarter of my lashes on my right eye last month (nevermind about it..I was in too much of a hurry. Lesson learned), and they are growing in as little baby hairs. After using this stuff, they were the same length as the rest of their friends! Want longer lashes? Just keep swiping!
I was informed about this stuff by an amazing makeup artist (more on her later), and to her I will be forever grateful! Thanks to her, I may..just may, forgo the lash extensions I was considering, come four months!
