I've always loved nail polish. In my younger years, even before I was allowed to wear makeup, I was given the green first on sporting the polish. There were whole summers that I would ride my bike to the nearby drugstore and stock up on nail colors. Then as I got older and wiser (fast forward six months), I got hip to the Hardy Candy polishes with the plastic ring around the handle (omg...did you click on that? The whole line is 75% off right now!). Of course I've mentioned my past and renewed passion for airbrushing, but now I have matured yet again, and have discovered the world of Minx. You've seen it and you probably didn't realize it. Beyonce has been flashing their designs on everything from Oprah to her Single Ladies video (btw, can we talk about how amazing her dance moves are? I tried two and was already gasping for my breath). Eve and Solange (amongst others) have been spotted with their designs all over town.
What is it exactly? Well miladies, it's probably the best thing to ever happen to women's nails--a flexible solid color and/or printed film (I hear the words airbrush design!) which is laid atop le nail, and will have nothing whatsoever to do with a base coat, top coat, smudging, or chipping. Could it be true?! The options are endless, and this means that all of the fun things we do with our hands will never be a reason to have to "touch-up" before leaving the house. And if you thought that was good, they are also very environmentally friendly and don't require any sort of chemicals to apply or remove.
So, now you want them too? Check out their list of salons where a professional Minxer (I don't know if that's a word, but I suppose that's what they'd call them), can apply them for you. If you decide that yours rival Beyonce's and the gang, send me a pic and I promise to post!
Anybody want to have a Minx Party with me? Pleaseeee??
